Check-in and check-out

For campsites, check-in and check-out are both at 3 PM. For cabin and trailer rentals, check-in is at 3 PM and check-out is at 11 AM.

Reservations and deposits

Book online any time through our ResNexus booking page, or call us. Every reservation needs a 25% non-refundable deposit. Rates and policies can change, and they may be different during holidays, special events, and other busy times. Holiday weekends have a 3-night minimum, and riverfront sites and rentals have a 2-night minimum on weekends.

Cancellations

Please email us to cancel. Your reservation can be refunded if you cancel at least 7 days before you arrive (14 days for holiday weekends), but the 25% deposit isn't refundable and every refund has a 4% refund fee. If you let us know before that deadline, we can also change your dates. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full amount.

Guests and extra people

Each campsite rate covers 4 adults, and kids 12 and under stay free. Each extra adult is $10 per night. The maximum is 8 people per site, including children. The Chalet has a $100 cleaning fee, plus $25 per person for more than 6 guests.

Pets

Up to 2 pets are welcome per site. Your first pet stays free, and a second pet is $10 per night. Pets must be leashed, kept quiet, and never left alone, and there's a $50 charge for each pile of pet waste we find after checkout.

Quiet hours

Quiet hours run from 10 PM to 8 AM.

Campfires and firewood

Every site has its own fire ring and picnic table. Please don't move the fire ring or put trash in it, and note there's a $50 fine for burned grass. We sell quality firewood and deliver it right to your site: one-night bundle $13, small $20, large $35.

Visitors

Visitors are welcome! Please call ahead so we know they're coming, and have every visitor check in when they arrive.

Vehicles and second units

Each site can have up to two vehicles and up to 2 units (RV, camper, or tent). A second unit is $10 per night.

Seasonal sites

Our 2027 season runs April 1 to October 31. For seasonal site information and rates, please email Bridget@butternutgrovecampsites.com. Electric is metered and billed separately for seasonal and monthly campers. Winterizing and storage fees are due when you leave at the end of the season.

Wi-Fi

You can buy Wi-Fi access for $10 per day, per device.

Store

We sell firewood, bagged ice ($4) and handmade flies, and we rent kayaks and tubes.

Fishing licenses

Anyone fishing in New York needs a New York State fishing license, and you can buy one online before your trip (our Fishing Information page has the link). If you book 3 or more weekday nights, you also get a free guided trip with a professional guide from Trout Town Flies. You can also buy your fishing license in person at the Little Store in Roscoe.
